The MQ-77 and MQ-72 are both great pen recorders but many of you might be wondering what the difference is between the two! When we were first started selling the MQ-77 voice recording pen my first question to the manufacture of these audio pens was “well, whats the difference between the two? We have been selling the MQ-72 (which has been a top seller) for over two years before we brought on the MQ-77. Below you can get a quick visual comarison of the two pen recorders:
In the image above, the top model is the MQ-77 and the bottom is the MQ-72 pen. Really what it boils down to is that the only difference is the price and physical appearance of these pen recorders. All the functions of these pens are identical such as memory capacity, battery life, voice activation, audio quality, headphone jack, etc. Now that we have established they are are identical in features and functions, let examine the differences a little bit more closely:
Dimensions: The MQ-77 is 31% lighter, 11% shorter, and 5% slimmer than the MQ-72 Pen Voice Recorder.
Clip Color & Shape: The MQ-72 pen has a gold clip that is bit larger and squared off on the edges. Where the MQ-77 pen has a bit smaller rounded silver clip.
Metal Color & Placement: The image above pretty much explains this. One pen is gold, the other is silver! Do notice that the top of the pen is gold on the MQ-72 but on the MQ-77 the top is not metallic is and black in color.
Price: The MQ-77 pen is $10 more than the MQ-72. WHY? Well a lot of people want a super slim and small pen that is just a little bit more discreet, and that is why we charge the $10 premium on the MQ-77 pen voice recorder.
All you ever wanted to know about these pen voice recorders! All this stuff is pretty self explanatory but I thought it would be a good idea to point out some of the differences in more detail. Please let us know if you have any questions, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
